The two-day Gong Intensive is an immersion in the Gong teachings for a whole weekend. This weekend Intensive is open to those with a working knowledge of gongs. The work over the two days will be structured according to the needs of the participants. Diverse gong-related subjects will be covered including learning and practising various techniques. This is an ideal workshop for those who want expand their gong experience and continue their gong journey with expert tuition in the powerful gong space! It will be geared to those who have a working knowledge in how to play the gong. This workshop will be process led by the participants.

 

This workshop unfortunately cannot supply gongs and ones must have their own gong and stand to participate.

 

Over the two days participants will have ample opportunity to deepen their own personal experience with this powerful healing instrument. Sheila’s books will be available to buy at this workshop, which counts towards CPD and is also a College of Sound Healing extra module workshop for those doing the College training. There will also be a few tibetan Bowls and sheepskins for purchase. People are free to bring items for sale or trade with each other.

 

The cost of this training is €300 early bird (pay before 24th January), or €330 (24th January-24th February). This does not include accommodation. A €100 non refundable deposit is required to hold your place for the workshop. Places are limited to 20 and there is allot of expressed interest so book early.

Accommodation:

There is simple camping available from the 24th at €10 per tent per night. Your own tent must be provided. This is in a private estate, in a private house.

There is abundance of Hostels, B&B's and Hotels in the area, as well as AirbnB. A group rate can be organised if people desire this.

 

Lunch:

For lunch we all bring some vegetarian food, to share with the other participants on the course. This usually creates quite a feast at lunchtime. Please bring along something nice that you would want to share with us all. Call me if you need suggestions.

 

Fresh Well water, tea, coffee and some herbal teas will be available throughout the day, as well as light snacks.

The effects of the Gong – dissonant harmony

Different techniques for playing the Gong

Building up sound, listening, channelling – stepping aside, allowing

Using other related instruments

Learning how to give a Gongbath, sacred tone improvisation

Giving a Gongbath to individuals & groups, aspects of performance

Receiving a Gongbath – at least two during the weekend

Question & answer time
