Experience
I have a wide range of experience from working with large groups to one-on-one classes. As well as weekly classes I have extensive practice in facilitating workshops in both holistic and creative fields.

I like the courses to be process and group led and will often adapt a program to suit its members.

 

I enjoy themed sessions and aim to teach excellent versatile classes which are anatomy based and are designed to connect mind and body. I can offer nutritional advice for improving well-being as I hold a diploma in nutrition.

 

I have found Yoga Increases:

Self control, Self Acceptance, Stress Reduction, Wellbeing, Concentration, Memory, Attention, Social Skills, Positive outlook on Life, Core-Strength, Body Awareness, Balance, Sleep Issues, Energy, Overall Strength, Posture, Calmness, Muscle-tone, Breathing, Joint range of motion, Dexterity, Endurance, Depth Perception, Reaction Time, and Concentration.

Styles of classes include:

Flow, Restorative, Meditation based, Pranayama, Hard-core, Mindfulness, Centering, Grounding, Specific Asana (posture) based classes.Each class always finishes with a yoga nidra (yogic sleep) as I believe the nidra is essential for your body to assimilate the asanas undertaken.

Sound:

I often incorporate sound therapy using Tibetan bowls & tingsha bells as a element to my yoga classes. I am increasing my knowledge of therapy with sound all the time. I have studied a diploma Practictioners course in Sound Therapy with Tony Nec of the Sound Healing Academy.

 

I offer sound meditations with tibetan bowls, sound baths with a range of instruments, Individual sessions for Full Body Tuning with tuning forks and Song of the Spine sessions both privately and to groups.

 

Various people/groups I have tailored and designed programs for include:

Office workers, Hospitality sector, Women's Group, Active Age, Singers/Bands, Artists, Teachers, Wheelchair users, Prisioners, disadvantaged, Special Needs and Learning Disabilities, those suffering serious illness.

 

I have accommodated for various medical complaints:

Bursitis, Blood Pressure, Circulation Issues, Pain Management, Asthma, Arthritis, Cancer, Scoliosis, Sciatica, Back Pain, Osteoporosis, Carpal tunnel, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Scleroderma, Hearing Impaired

 

Mental Health Issues:

Schizophrenia, Bi-polar, Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, Panic Attacks.

 

I have facilitated yoga, sound and mediation :

In diverse localities such as hostels and hospitality based centers, community centers, renovated churches, outdoor spaces in scenic locations, private homes, hospital and care settings, Yoga and Spas. 


 

 

 

Through the use of yoga, which in essence a practice of being present, I aim to focus people on recognizing and releasing unhealthy and self limiting practices of body and mind. Self transformation only occurs when ones addresses how to release accumulated tension. This brings one into an embodied experience of awareness. Practice of this accommodates for a gradual integration of this awareness into ones life.
