(All these classes can be booked privately or for groups of your own choosing)

Hatha Yoga

This is alignment and mindful based class. I really enjoy sequencing so all my classes have an element of flow to them. There is a large emphasis on Pranayama (breath-work) through-out. This makes the class become a deeply meditive and internal practice. Every class ends with a yoga nidra with incorperated with sound therapy.

There are three levels to this class, beginners, intermediate, and advanced.

Power Flow Yoga

Not for the faint-hearted. It is strong flow based sequences. A understanding of yoga is essential to participate in this class. You will be given the oppurtunity to strengthen and tone your body using traditional yoga asanas (postures).

Gentle/Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, nurturing practice that anyone can do. Release anxiety the natural way. We begin by a centering and interlink breath with movement throughout the session. All movements are slow and mindful. This is a time for yourself, for nurishment and replenishment.

Frequency Yoga

This is a yoga class that is supported with the six senses to aids ones body to open more fully. There are sound insturments placed at key points on the body through-out the class as well as hands on adjustments. Aromatherapy is used within the class. Sometimes food tintures developed by our own Consious Chef, Tamara Samson are placed on the tongue.  Tibetan bowls are occasionally played as are drums and other sound Instruments. It is a unique and relaxing experience.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is known as yogic sleep. When you work with awareness (mind not wandering elsewhere), the work gets done better and faster. Nidra means a relaxed state of mind but when we add awareness to it, it becomes yoga nidra. As we become aware of different parts of the body, relaxation is much more effective. Yoga nidra not only charges up the body, but also calms the mind.

Benefits of Yoga Nidra

  • Just like any other machine, the mind also needs to switch off in order to rejuvenate and repair itself. By performing yoga nidra meditation, you allow your mind to truly relax and stop the internal dialogue that goes on inside the subconscious mind all the time.

  • The practice of yoga nidra also allows you to lower your heart rate. As you are relaxing your body at the same time, the blood vessels also dilate and blood is pumped to all the cells of the body. Thus your entire body gets relaxed and nourished at the same time.

  • Nidra yoga techniques also allow your muscles to relax. Thus all the pent up stress, stiffness, and stress is released from the muscles and you wake up feeling truly refreshed.

  • Stress is the single biggest cause behind most ailments in modern life. Yoga nidra is one of the most effective techniques to relieve stress, be it mental or physical.

  • Stress relief is one of the most important benefits of yoga nidra. Regular practice of this technique allows you to deal with day-to-day stresses effectively and thus enables you to live a more productive and healthy life.

  • The practice of yoga nidra also helps to recharge the nervous system and improves the functioning of the endocrinal system.

  • One off the other important benefits of yoga nidra is that it makes you more aware of yourself and helps you to relate the self to the rest of the world. These spiritual benefits are not dependent on religious beliefs and a person of any religious view or faith can become more spiritual through the practice of yoga nidra.
