Frequency Yoga

This is a yoga designed by myself. It is a class that is supported with the six senses to aid ones body to open more fully. I developed it after reading a story of the importance of breath (Pranayama).  
 
The six senses arguing about which is most important. Eventually they decided to approach the local diety to decide. The deity advised them to each indiviually leave for a period of time. This would allow them to see which was the most important. One by one the senses left and then returned. First sight, then sound, the touch, then taste and the smell. Each time though missed the body adapted and survive. Finally the sixth sense, the breath left and within minutes the body begged for its return.
After reading this story, I realised that though breathwork and pranayama is  vitally important. The experience of yoga could be enhanced by engaging all the senses at key postures.
 
How it works: There are sound insturments (hearing) placed at key points on the body through-out the class as well as hands-on physical adjustments (touch). Tibetan bowls are occasionally played as are drums and other sound Instruments. You awareness will be drawn to visuals and sensations of postures (touch+sight). Aromatherapy is used within the class (smell). Various methods of breathwork are mobilized (breathe). Sometimes food tintures developed by our own Consious Chef, Tamara Samson are placed on the tongue(taste)(Please note: any food allergies must be priorly discussed with teacher before participation in this class) 
It is a entirely unique and relaxing experience.
